This position does not require much design skills since that will be taken care of by our web designer. Mostly it’s building a lot of XHTML/CSS pages, emails, working with our ecommerce platform and our future content management solution.

Example of Job Duties:

• Produce and build new web pages and templates.
• Update/Modify existing web pages.
• Produce new web sell page for new products.
• Build product SKUs and upsell streams in our ecommerce platform.
• Maintain and improve usability and experience.
• Plus on going large projects such as full redesigns, diet membership site redesign, upcoming beauty product line that will need a new store and all new email campaigns to be produced.

Required Skills:

• Intermediate Photoshop knowledge, must know how to take Photoshop comp files and produce them for Web.
• Slicing them up and optimizing graphics for web.
• Must be able to code with current Web standards XHTML/CSS, we use Dreamweaver, but they must know how to hand code, it is essential.
• Must have fluent CSS level 2 understanding and knowledge.
• Must know how to use shorthand CSS coding practices.
• Good to advanced understanding and knowledge the following:
• XML
• XLST
• RSS Feeds
• Javascript
• Program JavaScript and new “Web 2.0” type technologies using such as AJAX.
• Strong attention to detail and well organized.
• Good usability understanding and knowledge.
• How use Subversion SVN file management system. (we will train if needed)
• Proficient and fast on the computer, Mac and/or PC.

Additional skills that are be a plus!, but not required:

• Ecommerce experience is a big plus. We use MarketLive for our platform and it can be very complicated, we do train our staff on it.
• Content Management System understanding and knowledge.
• Template systems.
• .Net knowledge.
• JSP and Java knowledge.
• Strong information architecture.
• Flash action scripting – intermediate to advanced.
